High strength steel

CR(High strength steel)

Cold-rolled steel products are widely used in various applications, ranging from household appliances such as automobiles, washing machines, and refrigerators to industrial machinery and various construction materials. Furthermore, new demands for high-value-added products, such as steel cans and steel houses, continue to be created, leading to an expansion of development and production in this field.

High strength steel is a type of steel that has been subjected to intense processing to achieve both high strength and excellent formability. It is classified as either bake-hardenable steel, high-strength low-alloy steel, or precipitation-hardened steel, based on its metallurgical properties. Some of the types of high-strength steel include BH (Bake-Hardenable) steel, HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy) steel, R (Rephosphorized) steel, IF (Interstitial Free) HSS, ATOS (AuTOmobile Structural) steel, and HB (Hyper Burring) steel.

Major specifications include:
- POSCO: CHSP35E/300Y/340Y, CHSP35EB
- JIS: SPFC340/390/490/590, SPFC340H
- EN: HC 260LA/340LA/380LA/420LA, HC 220B
- ASTM: A1008-33/45/50/60/70
